Part - Time UAV Drone Lab Technician - FY 2027

The College of Southern Nevada is hiring a part-time UAV Drone Lab Technician to provide technical support for lab operations in the Aviation and Engineering Technologies departments. The technician will assist instructors and students with the operation of specialized engineering and unmanned drone equipment, perform maintenance on lab equipment, and help prepare labs with proper inventories. This role supports scheduled and open labs and works under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for lab operations of scheduled and open Aviation or Engineering Technologies Labs.
• Support instructors and students with the operation of specialized Engineering and Un-manned Drones and other equipment during labs.
• Technician will perform maintenance on specialized lab equipment.
• Technician will assist to ensure that labs are prepared and have proper inventories for classes.
• Technician will assist the instructor plan an prepare labs in conjunction with full time faculty.

Requirements

• Should have the ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot UAV and other Electronic related machines per directions from faculty. Should also be proficient with all systems and the tools related to the ET industry
• Experience verifying proper equipment operation and performing equipment maintenance
• Part 107 / FAA Remote Pilot Certificates
• Complete required training to drive/operate UAS Van and associated equipment.( Valid Driver's License)

• Degree, or pursuance thereof, in Engineering Technology. OR Aviation Technology
