Packet Digital is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing advanced manufacturing team developing cutting-edge energy storage solutions for portable electronics, embedded systems, and unmanned aircraft. This role is responsible for leading production personnel, achieving operational goals, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.

What You'll Do

Lead and supervise daily battery cell manufacturing operations
Assign work, manage staffing, and support production teams in achieving performance goals
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, SOPs, and work instructions
Monitor production performance, equipment status, material usage, and manufacturing metrics
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, process, quality, and equipment issues
Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, throughput, and equipment utilization
Train, mentor, and develop production personnel
Manage shift communications and production handoffs
Support new equipment commissioning, process qualification, and production ramp-up activities
Prepare and communicate production reports and operational updates
Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, SOPs, and manufacturing metrics
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions
Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with lithium-ion battery manufacturing or other advanced manufacturing operations
Familiarity with SCADA systems, ERP systems, and production tracking software
Experience working with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes
