In tis internship you will support advanced radar research by modeling and evaluating classical and quantum-radar approaches for detecting and tracking low-RCS targets, high-speed drones, and multiple targets. You may also develop multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithms to improve spectrum sharing. Reporting to the Plant Optimization team. This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.

Minimum Qualification

Enrolled full time in a Master Degree Program, or Doctorate Degree Program at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or closely related field
A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)
Current Resume or CV
Unofficial Transcripts (include current and completed degree programs)
Current class schedule and number of credits
Experience/coursework in MATLAB and Python

The Ideal candidate will possess

High performance computing modeling and simulation methods experience/coursework in Markov-Chains, Bayesion Models, Discrete Event, Stochastic Random Process
Systems modeled experience/coursework in Critical Infrastructure
Statistics and big data analysis experience/coursework in Spatial Modeling and Geostatistics, Uncertainty Analysis and Error Propagation
Experience/Coursework in radar simulation tools
