Aircraft Inspector IV (Deployable)

As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will use your expertise to inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and compliance with manufacturer specifications and government regulations. You will lead complex inspections, develop protocols, document findings, resolve compliance issues, and mentor junior inspectors. This deployable role requires extended OCONUS assignments and supports the ISR, Aviation, and Security business area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
• Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
• Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
• Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
• Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• ​Please be advised that this position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days OCONUS, depending on mission needs. Deployment is not guaranteed and will be determined at the discretion of the supervisor or management, or as otherwise specified.
