The Sales Manager will lead TYTAN's commercial presence in the DACH region defense market, focusing on expanding customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and managing the entire sales process from initial contact to contract conclusion. This role involves developing and executing strategies to adopt C-UAS capabilities across the German Army and allied procurement bodies, building relationships with Bundeswehr and BAAINBw stakeholders, and representing TYTAN at industry events.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy to expand adoption of TYTAN's C-UAS capability across the German Army and allied procurement bodies.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities based on engagement with requirements owners, capability planners, and program offices.
- Lead capture efforts for major programs, coordinating with engineering, proposal, and leadership functions as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Bundeswehr and BAAINBw to understand mission needs and position TYTAN's solutions accordingly.
- Identify new business opportunities and procurement programs ahead of formal tender.
- Own pipeline forecasting, CRM reporting, and account planning for the German market.
- Represent TYTAN at industry events, demonstrations, and field exercises.
- Support proposal development and customer briefings.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in defense sales, business development, or capture, with a specific, discussable track record in the German market.
- Deep understanding of Bundeswehr and BAAINBw acquisition processes and capability transition pathways.
- High ownership and initiative. Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.
- Live, named relationships with procurement and requirements-owner stakeholders in this market.
- Demonstrated success capturing and growing defense programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting to senior military and government officials.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Eligible for German security clearance (Ü2 or higher under SÜG).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Nice to have
- Prior service in the Bundeswehr, or extensive direct professional engagement with the German armed forces.
- Experience specifically in counter-UAS, air defense, or electronic warfare procurement.
